Based in London, the Tavira Credit Group has one of the most experienced distressed and special situations teams in Europe. The team comprises industry professionals with significant experience in the sourcing, valuation, trading and settlement of distressed and illiquid assets. Having worked together for many years, the team has a long and proven record of success.

Research and asset valuation is an integral part of the Tavira Credit Group's approach. The team's fundamental credit analysis produces unbiased, original and executable trade ideas in both liquid and off-the run investment opportunities, which are communicated through concise and timely publications.

Lorraine McGarry

Lorraine McGarry has over 20 years of experience in leveraged finance origination, capital markets, distribution and workout. Lorraine started her career at Drexel Burnham and Chase Manhattan. She then spent nearly 15 years at Bear Stearns in New York and London where she rose to Senior Managing Director. Lorraine subsequently joined JPMorgan following the merger with Bear Stearns. She was most recently a founding member of London-based distressed and illiquid asset boutique Yorvik Partners.

Alexander Paulick

Alex Paulick has over 10 years of experience in the credit, distressed and special situations markets, most recently as the senior analyst at Yorvik Partners, a London-based boutique focused on distressed and illiquid assets. Previously, Alex was a securities analyst with Elliott Advisors and Avenue Capital. He started his career at Exane BNP Paribas in Paris, followed by 5 years in M&A and restructuring advisory with Hawkpoint (now Cannacord Genuity) in Paris and London.

Nina Selden

Nina Selden has over 10 years of experience in the leverage finance and distressed credit markets, most recently as a founding member of Yorvik Partners, where she had primary responsibility for sourcing distressed and illiquid assets in both German-speaking and Eastern European markets. Prior to that, Nina was part of the capital markets team at Royal Bank of Scotland with responsibility for structuring, underwriting and syndicating leveraged and high yield debt transactions.

Anne Groarke

Anne Groarke has over 15 years of experience in credit, distressed and equity special situations markets, most recently as a sourcer at Seaport Group London. Previously, Anne was a member of Yorvik Partners where she had primary responsibility for sourcing distressed and illiquid assets. Anne started her career as a high yield analyst at Lehman Brothers in London.

Jeanne Polewa

Jeanne Polewa, CFA, has over 10 years of experience in the structured and distressed credit markets, most recently as a member of Yorvik Partners, where she had primary responsibility for trading structured credit and sourcing distressed and illiquid assets in France. Prior to that, Jeanne spent over 5 years at Moody's Investors Service, where she was a senior structured credit analyst, focused on the rating of CDOs/CLOs. Jeanne started her career with Goldman Sachs in Paris and London.

Ben Rana

Ben began his career at Goldman Sachs in London, working with the distressed, high yield and special situations teams. He then spent three years at Yorvik Partners (now Sterne Agee UK) where he specialised in the trading of distressed debt and bankruptcy claims.
